Dr. Karina Shakhbazian has been NCP for Maria Sklodowska-Curie Actions since 2014 and NCP for Research Infrastructures since 2012 (until 2015). Beforehand she has been working in the Office of International Research Programs of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS of Ukraine) since 2001, heading the network of FP5 and FP6 Information Contact Points, established in 2004 in the NAS of Ukraine to raise awareness of Ukrainian researchers on the EU RTD Framework programs. Additionally, Karina is participating in the BILAT-UKR*AINA projects, aimed to provide a framework to foster cooperation in Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) between the EU and Ukraine.
Karina holds PhD in International public law (2009), obtained at the Kiev National University, Institute of International Relations. Her scientific and research activity is related with international legal regulation of ICT. Karina holds position of chief researcher in the Center of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer of NAS of Ukraine (CIPTT). She is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
