Corina Georgeta ABRAHAM-BARNA

Dr. Corina Georgeta ABRAHAM-BARNA is a National Contact Point for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions nominated by the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation in 2009. She was a member of the FP7 PEOPLE Committee from 2008 to 2013, and she was subsequently appointed as an expert for the H2020 MSCA Committee. Holding the position of Vice-president of the Senate’s Commission for International Relations of the university from 2012-2016, she is currently the Head of the International Student’s Office, after eight years of experience as International Relations Officer. In 2008, Mrs. Abraham-Barna created the EURAXESS Services Centre in the Banat’s University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine “The King Mihai the First of Romania” from Timisoara (BUAS), and in 2011 she included the university in the third cohort of the EURAXESS Rights Human Resources Strategy for Researchers. 

Mrs. Abraham-Barna holds a doctoral degree, delivered by the University of New Sorbonne Paris 3, France, obtained as a French Government Fellow for International PhD in Co-direction. Her first scholarship to the University of Leuven, Belgium, was granted through a governmental bilateral agreement between Belgium and Romania. Beside her administrative roles, she holds the permanent position of Assistant Professor.
